Happy New Year!

Hey boys!

As you all probably can tell already... theres not going to be a game this sat. 2 reasons, its Chinese New Year, and I've got a flag day to organise. So i'll take this opportunity to say that next week's game is still hanging. We dont have opponents as yet so if you guys know of any moderately good team that wants to play us, please let me know. (i said moderately good, not frigging semi professional yea). It'll be Simon's last game for us as well, before he goes back, and hes the last of the overseas people to leave. (maybe cheeky's the last, dunno yet)

We'll be having 1 'training' session a month at MDIS. I feel we need to work on some basics, like, what to do during a defensive corner, what to and how to cover each other, how to attack an offensive corner etc. I hope to have everyones co-operation on this cuz if not then we'll head back to playing matches every other week. I intend to 'groom' a core team to have enough match and game experience to be able to join a league this june. Hopefully that'll be loads of fun. haha Do tell me your views on this yea?

Last 2 things, for those who don't know, Lionel Robinson tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in a game last week. He has to undergo sugery and therapy to repair the damage and will be out for about 6 months to a year. Pray for a speedy recovery yea?
And also, Auntie Lilian has told me about organising a trip to china to do an exchange programe over there with some professional brazillian soccer players. We'll learn how to coach and some soccer basics and play a couple of competitive games. After that we'll head up to smaller towns to teach schools before heading back. The trip is scheduled for 2nd or 3rd week of May and will last for about 10 -14 days. Do let me know if you are interested!!! i need at least 12-13 guys! Trip will cost about 1000 bucks, but dont need to worry too much about that yea?
