Saturday MWS Tournament Schedule...

hey guys... got the schedule today from the organisers. we will be playing 6 games of 15 minutes.

The teams that is in our group are

1. Paya Lebar Methodist Church (1000)
2. Faith Methodist Church (1320)
3. Aldersgate Methodist Church (1240)
4. Pentecost Methodist Church (1200)
5. Queenstown Chinese Methodist Church (1120)
6. Queen of Peace Catholic Church (1040)
The top 4 teams from each group will go into quarter-finals
Quarter-finals will start at 2.30pm.

The number that you see beside the name is the timing of the match. we will be playing from 10am, with 20mins rest in between matches, till 1.40pm.

Some things to note.
1. got new instructions from the organisers to be there only @ 8.30am. So all of us can have more rest by sleeping in a little later. we will all meet at the main stairs of Victors Bowl.

2. please drink lots of water the night before to hydrate yourself. it will be quite hot on that day so please do water parade on your own whenever you need it.

3. regardless of whether it rains or not in the morning, please be there by 8.30am. we will do warm up as a team and if you are going to be late (with valid reasons! not because you woke up late or traffic jam (leave earlier!)), please call me or sebastian to inform us so that we know of your movements.

4. for those who know you might have a problem waking up, please arrange with someone to give you a morning call at a timing which allow you to change and make your way down to marina south on time. it will not be responsible to wake up 1/2 an hour before the meeting time when you take 15 minutes to get ready and another 30 minutes to get down to marina south. we are all grown ups, so i expect everyone to be responsible.

5. I will try to arrange breakfast and lunch for the team but no guarantee. be prepare to eat bread and bananas for breakfast and green grass for lunch. (it's free, it's everywhere) haha!

6. there is a pledge card aka donation card which all of us need to help collect some donation with. i will give more details on sat regarding this matter. so please do it with joy and hopefully we can raise some more money for MWS.

7. Lastly, the fees for the competition is $300 per team. after breakdown, each of us will have to pay $17 each. Special arrangement will be made to subsidise the fees for those who really can't afford it. (can't afford it means that you really have no money and paying for this will make you go hungry for the whole week.) i know who can afford and who can't. so please be mature about this and pay the required. Church have offered to cover the subsidy but if anyone would like to bless someone in the team with the registration fee, you are welcome to do so.

so i hope all of you are excited for this sat. hopefully we can go beyond our previous endeavours.
